It’s was bad weather in the island so we decided to do something out of the sea front so we went to the Olive Press Museum and it showed several machines on how they used to produce the olive oil and others about jow they actually still produce it.
After it we had the chance to try several olive oils, some with flavours other normal and it was great!

This looks like a cruise but it’s a ferry in Greece from Levante!

We drove from Monemvasia to Kyllini to catch the ferry to Zakynthos, and along the way, we had to stop for an hour in Megalópolis. It didn’t feel like a typical Greek city — no blue and white cafés or grand monuments. Instead, it looked more like a town in Morocco. The cars were incredibly old, and there were electricity cables everywhere as you can see in the photos.

But honestly, we’re glad we stopped there. It reminded us that Greece isn’t just about Santorini, white-sand beaches, and ancient ruins. There’s also a more intimate, everyday side to the country that often goes unnoticed.

No offence meant, of course!

Oh, and by the way, we had one of the best chocolate crepes ever.

We had an amazing guided tour with Athens Walks to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. Our guide, Ermis, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought ancient history to life with fascinating stories and insights. We started at the iconic Parthenon, explored the Erechtheion, and enjoyed breathtaking views over Athens. Afterwards, we visited the Acropolis Museum, where we saw incredible sculptures and learned more about the cultural and historical context of the site. The tour was the perfect mix of education and fun — highly recommended for anyone visiting Athens!
